I am Ms. Haja Kaday Sesay, Executive Director of Climate Change, Environment & Forest Conservation Consortium-Sierra Leone (CEFCON-SL). I have worked for various Government Institutions including the National Committee for Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (NCDDR), Statistics Sierra Leone and the National COVID 19 Emergency Response Centers. I have also worked for a number of Non-Governmental Organisations such as Women’s Help Line Project, Coalition of Civil Society and Human Rights Activists, Health for All Coalition and CEFCON-SL over the last 20 years.

I am a Board Member of the under-listed institutions/organisations:

1.      The Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (SLANGO),

2.      The National Protected Area Authority (NPAA),

3.       Infrastructure for Development; and

4.      Youth Empowerment & Development Association.

Serves as a Steering Committee Member in the following institutions/Platforms:

1.      Environment Protection Agency on the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) project funded by Global Environmental Facility through the United Nations Development Program in Sierra Leone

2.      African Palm Oil Initiative Sierra Leone Chapter

3.      Sierra Leone Civil Society Integrated Platform on the Sustainable Development Goals

4.      The National Land Policy – Ministry of Lands & Country Planning

 Also, I am the Chairperson of the National Executive Council; the body that comprises founding members of the Health for All Coalition Sierra Leone (A civil society advocacy network on healthcare issues).

I have served as a Board of Director/ Steering Committee member in the following institutions/organizations;

 The Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (SLANGO)-Steering Committee member,

2.      Road Maintenance Fund Administration –(RMFA)-Board of Director

3.      The United Nations Development Program on the Disaster Risk Reduction project to Build Community Disaster Resilience-Board Member  

4.      Child Welfare Society Sierra Leone- Board Member 

5.      Sustainable Empowerment for the people of Koinadugu District (STEP K)- Board Member 

 I have also served in various capacities as Director of Gender and Gender Desk Officer- Coalition of Civil Society & Human Rights Activists Sierra Leone.

Educational Background

I have a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Public Sector Management at the Institute of Public Administration &Management-University of Sierra Leone (IPAM-USL) and certificates in other professional courses.
